Mexico.

Our first driving trip to Mexico, in 1974, took us to Monterrey, Tampico, Vera Cruz and finally Jalapa.  Our second driving trip was  to Parras, which is a desert town between Monterrey and Torreon.  Other trips, by air, were to Cozumel, Acapulco and later to Cancun.  The black and white photos were from our first trip.

During our first trip to Mexico we stopped at a roadside restaurant to eat.  Afterwards we walked to the beach to watch a group of local men haul in their fishing nets.  The black beaches were the result of volcanic eruptions long past.

The Grenadines

After a three-week sailing trip in The Grenadine islands, we spent our last night anchored on the far side of Grenada. We were rewarded with the most beautiful sunset that kept changing from one moment to the next.

Mustique, one of the Grenadine islands and home to the extremely wealthy.  We spent election night here at Basil's Bar and saw Barack Obama elected president.

We made sure people knew we had voted for Obama.  The night after the election fireworks lit up the sky over the harbor.

Kathy and Becky found a treasure trove of pretty, smooth rocks.

Somehow a number of these rocks ended in my golf bag and are now resident in our backyard in Austin.
